An elderly man ,who was coming from somewhere in the noon, suddenly stumbled and fell down on the road, fainted. People who saw him rushed to him and took him in a house. Mugs of water were poured on his head and body. After sometime he came to senses. He was hit by the heatwave. He was given some snacks to eat. He was also given a glass of lemon juice. People asked him not to go out in the hot sun. At 5.30 p.m.he thanked them and left. I hope he had learned a lesson. Now on he would never go out empty stomach in summer noon.

Feeling terrible about him. Thankfully, the fall didn't lead to any injury and fracture. That would be so concerning especially for old age. Heatwaves should be avoided especially for children and elderly.

Thank you I hope he is ok now. He fell down, but didn't have any injury. Actually he was empty stomach and, perhaps, not hydrated. Imagine what would have happened if he had fallen at a lonely place People saw him falling and he was saved.

@Shivram59 He was lucky. Falling in isolated place could have been so dangerous. Staying hydrated is so important in hot days. Very kind and nice of people around to come and help.

@arunima25 He was lucky to fall at a place where a lot of people were present. It was really very dangerous. He is an elderly man. Even young persons die if they are in such a situation.

Heatwave can be pretty dangerous. One should carry water bottle and may be wear a cap to protect from harsh sun. Thankfully, the person recovered.

Yes, covering the head with a cap or a turban, drinking a lot of water before going out in the sun and never go out in the sun empty stomach can save one from the heatwave.

I hope the man is okay now. I hope you will remember to drink lots of water during the heat of summer and eat something before going out... Even a young, healthy man can also faint if the sun is high and hot enough.

Thank you. I don't eat anything in the daytime, but I don't go out in the sun either. In daytime I don't feel like eating anything. I agree with you that one should n ki t go out in the sun especially in summer without eating something and drinking a lot of water It is risky even for young and healthy people.
