A Michigan State Police (MSP) trooper who was on patrol in Monroe Michigan on Friday April 26 saw on a road. The MSP trooper called a local bank to confirm that a customer had withdrawn the same amount of money. The MSP officer tried to call the person to inform the person about the money that the officer found but the person who answered the call thought that the police officer was playing a joke on the person. The police officer was able to convince the person who lost the money on the street that the call was legitimate and return the money back to the owner. The person who almost the money on the street placed the money on the pants when it was found on the street by the police officer. Link is upi.com/5811745947275 via @upi

What if the owner told them "finders keepers" lol! I think that would be a good day. But I am glad they are honest police officers, it it very rare nowadays.

Thank goodness that there are a few honest police officers since had the police officer taken the money without permission, he would be lucky to find work in law enforcement for being a crook.

You are right since if the officer had stolen the money, the image of the police would be damaged.

It is so hard nowadays to believe in off the wall type phone calls. I am glad the officer was able to get the money back to it's rightful owner.
