Reset His Brain

United States

I was chatting with a customer as a freelance tech support agent who forgot the password to Apple ID and got his Macbook into activation lock. He forgot his Apple ID so I had to help him remember what that was. He offered to upload a screenshot then didn't know how to. He kept hitting buttons and clicking things that he wasn't hold to and then told me I wasn't helping even though he wasn't able to do anything I asked him to do or answer any questions. I eventually told him he will need to do a factory reset. Just wish I could have given his brain one too.

I don't know why they think we'll know or can guess their passwords just because we work in tech support... But I've had a lot of people accuse me of not helping them remember something I shouldn't know in the first place.

For real. I had customers get mad because we couldn't locate their lost phone. I even asked her if she really wants apple to be able to know where her phone is and she said yes. people worry me

@programmerprimo I explained about tracking on a phone to one guy several times. He was paranoid he'd lose it but every time I mentioned that the police could also use that feature to track the phone, he'd tell me he didn't want it after all... And then come back the next day saying to turn it on... My boss finally told him he couldn't come back about the same problem... He decided to leave tracking off.
