Monday morning my youngest grandson will graduate from Kindergarten. This is the little tyke that got bit by an eel a few years ago and took it like a champ. He has been very outspoken about not going to school and was held out the first year he could have gone.
He just had no desire to go to school. And he found a way to make it happen. To say this boy is strong willed is an understatement. He's going to grow up and have a lot going on.
His trick was to pretend that he wasn't potty trained because he knew the rule was that you had to be potty trained to go to school. He started the year out, but played the accident game like every single day. By Thanksgiving, the school had decided that he needed more time before attending school. This year his attitude changed and he dove in and loved it.
This Graduation ceremony starts at 9:30 am. I will be awake more than likely, but my husband is suffering from not enough sleep because I am up all night long with this rash and itching.
Hoping that the weather cools off because this will be in the Gym with no A/C! I hope it is not too long! We have a two hour drive to get to this one.
Do you have any family members graduating this year? K, high school, college?

My son's best friend's sister is graduating from High School next week. Where did the time go, I remember her as a small young girl.

Exactly! They grow up way too fast! One that hit me hard was when I worked at LSU and had an event mixing wit students. I recognized a name that was of the little girl that lived across the street from us that I baby sat all the time. That didn't seem possible!
Congrats to your son's best friend's sister!

No graduations here. Funny you should mention pretending not to be potty trained. My husband's 3rd cousin's son did that. It worked for a while.

Great! Congrats !!!! My grandson is going to graduate Kindergarten this year too, but I cannot go.
I wanted to go so bad! But when the information in I read that only two people can come.
So my daughter called the school and was told that she can't even bring her baby!!!!

A to your grandson on his kindergarten graduation! Next thing you know, he'll be graduating from high school in the blink of an eye!
That's so funny that he is so strong-willed like that. And from what you described, it sounds like he is pretty smart as well.
