And some places will even force you to buy 3 pairs for the same price. Which was fine when I was in the movies and wanted to change my look, but now that I'm old and used to wearing the one pair all the time, I don't see the need. However, saying that, the gold-plating on my glasses has worn off at the earpieces and the base metal is irritating my skin. So, I hunted out the second pair I got when I got my new prescription. Supposedly the same, but the lens shape is a little different, so the focus of the reading part is a little different. When I got my glasses, I chose the second pair in the same shape but they "lost" it somewhere along the line and I had to choose a second pair. And of course, they didn't have another frame the same shape. So while the distance part is ok, I'm not happy with the close-up part. Sigh... just another first-world problem.

I like the 2 for 1 eyeglasses deal. I usually just get a new pair to read while on my computer or reading a book and then get the other pair, with the same prescription, with a dark tint to the glass so that I have a pair of prescription sunglasses.

That sounds frustrating that this frame is different and the distance is ok but not the close up.

Well, the lenses are narrower on the second pair, but on the plus side, I have some clip-on shades that fit it perfectly.

It's always something, isn't it? Now when I look through the upper part of my glasses it's blurry. I can see better without them; AND I was just at the eye doctor a couple of months ago. Now I have to make another appointment.
