Short story: Truth lives in us when we live within it. Do not live a lie.

Rabbi Anton Breshnev was asked by one of his students about truth.
He told him, that when we come across truth, we are meant to come across it, and it is meant for us to receive it right here, and now.
If we come across something that lacks the ring of truth to it, we should leave that aside, as anything non-truthful was never meant for us to take on board.
We should not live our life by trying to escape from life, but embrace life fully, with all of its inherent messages of truth in it, that are always presenting themselves to us, when we are aware enough to be able to see, and discern the initial grain of truth, that then will be seen as more than a grain, when we then connect it to the whole of that truth, by remaining connected to God, the highest truth too.
And then he told them to remember this quote from the French Artist, Georges Braque:
“Truth exists; only lies are invented.”
So, when we live our life as a lie, we are not living then from truth.
We are inventing our life, rather than fulfilling it for God, by our following his plan, and purpose, for our life.
God loves, and his love becomes his truth, and so when we love, we can live from the same truth, but when we do not love, we are living then from the lie of life, non-love, and from our own ideas of truth, never from the realness of real realised truth.

Do not just read about truth. Live from truth.

I also hate it when someone is not truthful, and presents something fake to me.
I then have the extra task of sorting the fact from the fiction, if that person matters to me, otherwise, if I have an inkling that I am being duped, I will not accept it, and I will try to stay clear of that person too.
Someone not living in truth is a hypocrite in my thinking, as are all fakers too.

@innertalks A lot of times - what you see is not what you get. A person can present themselves as someone totally different from their inner being. In some cases that is not all bad. There are times when it is best not to display your weaknesses - and even strengths.

@Kandae11 That is true, but it depends for me who it is too.
If it is a family member, who always pretends to be someone that they are not, I put up with that, as I expect that maybe they would like to be like that, and they say to fake it until you make it.
I prefer someone to be straight with me though, and if a fellow worker is like that just to play up to the boss, and is two faced, I prefer to stay clear of them as much as I can do so. I have never tried to play up a false front to anyone, and I prefer to play a straight bat, and call it as I see it.
Yes, I agree, sometimes we are wise not to put all of our cards on the table, but to keep some aspects of ourselves just to ourselves.

Yes, a lot of workers never admit, or own up to, any of their mistakes, and even go further than that, and lie about the truth.
Sometimes, the lies caught up with them, but sometimes, the lies never did seem to catch up to them, and in one case, the compulsive lier was promoted to being a manager, as the top brass was impressed by his lies, not seeing the truth that he was all hot air, and no substance, and just a lying, crooked man.

Truth is easy to live from but if we choose to live from lie, it is not easy to get back to truth.
Once we start the ball rolling with lies, then it will make many lies to get by.
By habit, some lie through their teeth even if they are false or beyond fixing!
If we live life truthfully, we don't have to remember what we said.

Yes, lying can become like a snowball that we push up a hill, and which at some stage will come rolling back down again, and roll us away with it.
Truth keeps us on the right path, and although we might come across a rock, or two, on our path, truth always helps us not to be blocked by the rock, but to find what its place is on our path, and find the best way to move past it too.

@innertalks I have always admired those who stuck to truth whatever the circumstances.
I too am one of them.
People can easily make out who we are - we hear what they say but have a keen sense to know what their intentions are.
We attract like-minded people and liars are as thick as thieves and revel in their world of deception knowing full well they cannot trust even their shadows!

@Shiva49 I have heard it said that we cannot take up truth, and fly high in truth, if we fog up our runway with untruths.
Yes, liars lie to each other, and live a life of deception, never knowing, or trusting anyone fully, as they have to continually look over their shoulder, to see if their shadow, and other shadowy figures, have caught up with them.
