I will be totally broke! I was getting a great fee for my cell phones, it was a special for 2 cell phone service for $40 a month. Then I was offered by the same company $30 if I add another phone. So we did and I had just paid the $40 plus $4 in taxes about 4 or 5 days ago for that month.
When we got the $30 offer and I switched to that I was told that I would be prorated and that my first bill would be $26. 42. I looked at my bill on the company app and saw that my bill was $32.36. So I called and was told that it had not gone thru the app system yet and the $26 amount was correct and it would change to that on the 15th of the month. Which it didn't do! I also had the automatic bill pay stopped and I would pay it on my own. Well on the 18th of the month when my bill was due I went onto my online banking to see that they did not stop the autopay and I was charged the $32 amount and not the $26
So I called them today and first was told that that the $6 was for taxes, for one that is funny that it would be the exact same amount!
(yeah right!). Two taxes last month on $40 was only $4 and change so how could it be $6 and some change on a less amount. He starts humming!
Then he changes it, "Oh I see it is for 911 call's." I started laughing!
and said I haven't called 911 3 times since I have lived here in this city. He said well the charges just now came in. I laughed again and told him, The last time was over a year ago and I didn't have you as my cell phone service. He tarts humming again and says he will give me $6 credit!
He is not the only one there are people that tell me well it's only $50, $30, $10, $5 and so on. If I just let everyone of those places penny me, dime me and dollar me I will be pooper then I am now!

Oh, gosh, don't you love it? I get this extra billing cycle from the company that we get our internet service through. I am on a legacy billing now. I just call in every 6 months or so and set it up again. It is because I have been with the company for many years.
As far as phones go, I have been getting my phone service through Tracfone. I pick out the one I want on HSN and usually pay $100 for unlimited data, text, and phone for two phones. That is only about $8 a month for two phones. I rarely have an issue with hearing or anything and, if I do it is usually because the other person is using a headset.

Oh I don't, when that guy told me he would credit me back the $6. I said, "Yeah, how am I going to know that you are really going to do that?" He said he was emailing it in writing, open your email please I just sent it." I saw it and told him that I was saving till I saw that I got the credit.
I hate being lied to!

Unless you were having a problem with the plan, you shouldn't have changed it. And, pro-rated plans tend to be higher then the normal monthly ammount, not lower. That's why it's best to wait until the cycle ends, then starts again before switching plans. And, everyone plays a flat rate for 911 (usually 50 cents) reguardless of their plan, to make it free for those who need 911, and can't aford a cell phone.

It's the same service I just added another phone and got a lower price! In all my years of having a cell phone I have never had to pay extra for dialing 911 and the point was I hadn't dialed 911 since I had their service.
I have been living in this city for almost 3 years, 3 years too long, might I add, lol The last times I have called 911 I had different phone service, actually a different device as well. Plus we lived at a different address too! The last time was for my mother when she was staying here for a few days.

I hope it all works out in your favor but sounds rather complicated to me,
