Do you give yourself credit for small accomplishments?

I got a small project done yesterday before heading off to play music with my friends. One of my capos had shed the small rubber/felt strip that protects the back of the neck of one's guitar while capoing up the neck. I took a whiff of cocaine, lit up my pipe, and made a plan. Watson was there, providing moral support. And Scotch whiskey. After some time in my comfy chair, I decided to use crazy glue to re-attach the strip. As I had predicted, using my knowledge of physics and mechanics, a clamp did not work. I took another whiff, and realized that all I had to do was hold the strip down for a couple of minutes, and then put the capo on my guitar. The guitar provided the perfect amount of pressure, at perfect angles, and my capo is fixed. I am pretty excited about it, even if it was a small project. Do you give yourself credit for small projects done well?

Thank you. It is interesting to me how the planning stage is as important as the execution.
