I Finally Purchased A New Laptop.

My laptop is old. I got it back in 2020, but it’s worn down. The battery isn’t as strong (it literally went from 82% to 45% within 15 minutes, not plugged in or as active on it), and the “E” key is missing (I’ve been using a smaller, Bluetooth keyboard with it). Sooo, I knew it was time to upgrade. I’ve known for a bit, but until today, I wasn’t in the position to do so. Now that I can, I’m upgrading because I need a laptop for work. I’m paying via a 12-month payment plan, and the first payment isn’t due until June 21st. I’ll set an alarm on my phone for it. I chose the HP-14" Laptop - Intel Processor N150 - 4GB Memory - 128GB UFS - Pale Rose Gold from Best Buy. It’s within my budget and needs, and the rose gold color is a bonus. I’m past the point of color being a dealbreaker, but I’m glad I could make that work because it IS pretty. And it’ll look nice with my pink mouse and laptop bag lol. Seriously, color aside, I’ll be glad to have a more functional laptop again. I’ll have a keyboard with ALL the keys and be able to use the laptop for like, 2 hours without the plug, as needed (sometimes, I don’t get a table near an outlet at the coffee shop). Plus, without the need for the extra keyboard, I’ll have more space as well. Of course, I’m planning to use the Bluetooth keyboard with tablets, like if I want to blog or something during the weekend (when my laptop is usually shut off and put away). It’s a nice keyboard, gifted by a friend, and the battery life is amazing. I haven’t had to change the batteries once since receiving it. As for my current laptop, I’m going to pack it in a safe space as a backup laptop. It may not be the most upgraded, but it’ll still be usable if I need it (i.e., unexpected issue with the new laptop). I just feel I can be more productive with my work with a new laptop. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought it because I don’t take bigger purchases lightly. It’ll be shipped from a nearby Best Buy and arrive at my house tomorrow. My plan is to head to the coffee shop to work on a few writing orders early (someone will be home to watch the mail), then head home for my therapy appointment around 2ish, and then I’ll take over waiting for my package. I needed to go to the store, but it can wait until Friday or the weekend if need be. Unfortunately, porch pirates are an issue in my area, so I need to get my laptop as soon as it’s delivered. Anywho, this is my latest fun but necessary purchase. It’ll be fun to have a new laptop, but I really need it for work purposes. Alrighty, I'm out!
