I haven't been as active in responding to post as I was prior to May. I just returned last week to working in the office after working from home while my granddaughter recovered from knee surgery...which she ended up disrupting about 3 weeks in.
At any rate....looking forward to getting away for a few days and are going to Spring Mill Park on Monday with my husband where we will spend the night and take a extra day off from work. We were planning on taking the motorcycle but the forecast is calling for rain.
Do you have any plans for the weekend/Memorial Day?

I don’t like to travel on holiday weekends because it’s too crowded and too expensive. My niece and grand-niece are coming next Friday for a Shakespeare in the Park event and will be spending the night at my house, so I guess I have to clean house a little.
My next-door neighbor just had her knee replaced, and my brother had shoulder replacement surgery. I need to stay away from these people before I need a replaced body part!

Shakespeare in the park sounds like a fun event...The thing about having body parts replaced....I have heard more say it didn't help with the pain and that they are in more pain than it has helped them.

@terri0824 — I think it depends on the body part in a lot of cases. My aunts both had good results with knee replacements, as have my brother and sister-in-law and most of the people I know who’ve had it. Back surgery is awful (my sis-in-law said back surgery is like a Lay’s potato chip, you can’t have just one
). My sis-in-law had back luck with her shoulder replacement, but my brother is doing very well.

Sometimes not having any plans are the best....just to have a lay low day or two.

On Monday, I am going to a picnic. I plan to barbecue on Sunday. I think I will attend a local event today. There is going to be a lot of traffic out today though. Even getting gas might be a problem. However, with this cooler than average weather, I imagine alot of people who might be here celebrating Memorial Day didn't come down.

Sure hope your granddaughter will continue to improve. Your plans sound nice, hopefully you'll enjoy it.
We're not doing anything, next week is our grandson's birthday so I'll cook a nice dinner for him and his daddy.

We have a long weekend coming up but it's not a Memorial Day for us. I hope the weather fines up for you.

Nothing. I want to have rest this weekend. I will go to our city hall here in my country next week so maybe I will sleep all night!
