Another Big Data Breach

Ugh! I guess there was a big data breach that affected 184 million accounts. It affects passwords on Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, PayPal, Instagram, and Snapchat. That will affect me a lot. Have to change some passwords.
I'm just getting the usual weird scam emails. I did have an issue with PayPal last month. It was regarding a transaction on an old debit card we don't even use anymore. That was interesting. But my bank took care of it immediately. It's good to have a bank that backs you all the way, too.
Are you aware? Are you changing passwords?

OMG... When did this happen? It's good that you raised the topic. As you asked, I wasn't at all aware of this. BTW, the affected accounts are from where? Which parts of the world got affected? Please share.

It happened last week. I usually go ahead and post on here about such things, thinking that someone may have missed it. It is important to know. The countries that were affected were: The United States, Russia, China, India, France, and Brazil.

@celticeagle There was very little (to no) news about this data breach. Or probably there might be in that circle, but I didn't come to know about that. It could also be that there are very few accounts that might be actually affected.
Though I see India in here, there is little too nothing here. Maybe, the impact might be a bit lesser here.
But thanks for the help and updating us with this news.

I just had that issue on PayPal and got it cleared up. It's on a card we don't even use and the bank is aware of the issue.

the hackers seem to keep on trying and targeting such systems and companies.
I might think of changing a few passwords although I try to keep a certain level of password complexity.
