Canada Has A Huge Problem Right Now

Canada

A tragedy has recently struck my family. Something unimaginable that before this we thought could never happen to us. Well folks, never say never, because apparently these kinds of things can happen to anyone. This is the second tragedy that my family has endured, but this one hit differently because of the nature of it. Its been two weeks, and things are still just as fresh for us and will be a long time. How does one return to your normal lives after such an event? Honestly, I blame the Liberal Government, for the high crime rates here, and wish they would do something to step up and fix it before its too late. No family should have to go through what my family has gone through. It is so sad that this Canada, (not the Canada ?? I grew up in) has gotten to this point. In my city it isn't safe to walk around in broad daylight or to keep your doors unlocked during the day. Not even doors in cars going through town or the drive thru. This has to stop, but will the Government step up and do their job? I have hope they will but at the same time, I have my doubts. I would like to know what you think, do you think this problem can be fixed or is it too far out of control already. Most of the problems here are caused by homelessness, cost of living, and of course addictions. Can Canada ?? be saved?

That's sad. I had no idea Canada had these kinds of problems. I guess I was naive.

It's only happened in the last 10 years, about as long as the Liberal Government has been in control, and the cost of living has gone up due to Covid. It's scary sometimes, if you have to walk through my city, because you never know what might go down.

@RebeccasFarm This is very true, unfortunately. It's sad because the crime rate is unbelievable, and most of it happens in broad daylight.

@indiandevil As long as it is not affecting them or theirs, they are only in it for the greed and money.

I'm sorry to hear that. I moved to Canada three years ago, and it feels like there hasn’t been a month without hearing about some form of crime. It’s starting to seem like crime is quite common here. Sometimes I wonder if it's connected to the rise in immigration or perhaps an increase in racism. By the way, where in Canada are you from?
