My Neighbour Was Right

Yesterday was Sunday. The day off from my business. I had planned to spend a few hours on the river bank 10 kms from my place.
In the morning when I stepped out to leave for the river, I saw the sky was clouded. My next door neighbour warned me against going to the river. He said it was going to rain heavily
I agreed and postponed my plan.
He was right. After half an hour it started raining. The wind began to blow fast
I phoned my neighbour to thank him.

Can I ask what you were going to do on the river bank?
Were you going fishing?
Your next door neighbour was a good predictor of the weather..
He could get a job on the TV after the news here predicting the weather because the guy that does it gets it wrong quite a lot

I go to the river bank just to enjoy. I often walk to the jungle at the outskirts of my town. There I stay for an hour and, if possible, watch some small animals rushing from one bush to another. I don't fish.

@Shivram59 You're very welcome. Weather reports are very sophisticated now. The reports here aren't always right but they do pretty good at timing when rain will start and end now. I'm sure it's just as accurate there.

@DaddyEvil But they could not guess that the monsoon would arrive so early. It arrives our country around 15 th of June. But this year it hit our Southern parts in May.

Thank you, my friend. Actually I saw the clouded sky, but thought it would rain in the evening. For the last four or five days the sky gets cloudy, but starts drizzling in the evening..I don't know what made my neighbour so sure of imminent rain

You are right, my friend. There is no place near the river where you can protect yourself from rain. A roadside eatery is there, but it's about half a kilometer from the bank. You would get drenched before reaching the eatery.
