Cell Phone Chargers

I have always used the chargers that are the strings that you plug into the bottom of my phone and at the other end plug into a cube/box that plugs into the outlet or plug it directly into a USB port. However after awhile the cord one wasn't working so well and I looked to order a new one. My son has one that he plugs in and just sits his phone on and he say's that it works fine. I say one that works like that but is not flat, it stands up so I can just look at my phone at night without sitting up. The directions say that I can keep my silicone case on. Well sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. My mom didn't have a charger so I ordered her a flat one as a mother's day gift and it doesn't work. It plugs into the wall and turns on, but doesn't charge her phone.

Mine has no 'string'. It just has a USB cord that attaches from the phone to the wall outlet. There are many different types of charges. If your cord isn't working, maybe you can get a USB cord to use the way I do. Are you an Android or Apple?

Oh do you mean the cord I was talking about that you plug into a cube/block and the other end plugs into the electric socket.

@dfollin ........Yes, I guess so. My grandson got us a long one. The one that came with the charger wasn't long at all. Not very convenient.

@LindaOHio I do need a smartphone and I love iphones. Basically because of the way I have to take snapshot's with an Android phone is not possible because of the nerve damage in my left hand. But there is a flip phone that I had before that I really loved. I still have it just phone memory sake, it is not on.

My iPhone has a simple, standard charger directly connected to the socket, which has never given me problems. If you bought it brand new, there are warranties, in which you could return it within a certain period if it doesn't work.

I also still use a cable charger and it often breaks. I can't count how many times I've bought a charger cable. But the last charger cable I bought was of good quality and until now it hasn't broken. Thank goodness..
