In your culture, what's this?

In your culture, what does dreaming about a gecko in your hands mean? I am curious, and Google gave opposing interpretations. So, I am coming directly to you. I dreamed that I was holding a gecko in my hand, it was not unruly- just quiet, and then I woke up. Kindly tell me what your culture thinks of this dream. Thank you.

I have no idea. My dreams are very vivid and usually stressful.

Are you fighting a snake in your dreams, Linda? I often am. The snake is trying to bite me, so I have both hands around its neck (do they even ‘have’ necks?), and I have a knife in my pocket. I want to grab the knife and cut its head off, but can’t hold onto it with only one hand. What a dilemma!

@LindaOHio I’d offer you my knife to help, but you’d have to reach into my pocket to get it. My hands are full, wrestling this snake.

Honestly, here it might mean you saw too many Geico insurance commercials. One of their “spokespeople” is a talking gecko. I’m not even kidding.

@Jenaisle I totally believe you. But I tell you, in America, that Geico gecko will inhabit your dreams.Maybe YouTube has some of their commercials.

I'm laughing, Amber. I haven't seen any of their commercials. I know it may seem silly but my dreams are usually harbinger of events.

I don't really know but I got this from the Internet Dreaming of a gecko on your hand suggests that you are feeling overwhelmed by a situation or relationship in your life.

Yes, I've read that too, but some interpretations say it is a sign of prosperity.

I don't think that this is something Scottish culture has ever had to think about my friend. But I hope it brings you good health

If the gecko is calm, it may symbolize control over your fears or an intuitive acceptance of something previously unclear. It can also mean that you are holding something fragile yet important in your hands — perhaps an idea, a feeling, or even an inner transformation.
