Some years ago a friend of mine applied for a particular job. He had the on paper qualifications, some experience, and did well at the in person interview. But he didn't get the job.
That is because if you check his Facebook Page there are lots of photos of him dancing with a gal who looks like she has a cash register on her bed.
For years, anytime you apply for anything, your social media presence is examined.
What you post on FB is often a give away of who you really are.
I am surprised it has taken America so long to realise this, and cracking up that they have sent out a warning so everyone can delete.

That’s such a timely point. Social media really does speak volumes, often more than we realize. Employers have been checking online footprints for a long time now—it’s almost like a second résumé. It’s a good reminder to always be mindful of what we share. That “cash register on the bed” line definitely paints a picture!

@jaylar It’s true—many people share deeply personal things on social media. For some, it’s about seeking connection or support. Others may feel validated through attention or simply want to be seen and heard in a noisy world. Social media can offer a sense of community—but yes, it can also blur the line between sharing and oversharing.

@jaylar I don't laugh at trump's antics. They make me ashamed to be an American.

This means social media is not mean for recreation or connections anymore, one should be very careful what you post and engage in discussion on others' post and etc. Once I have read this kind of issues and yesterday I have also come across regarding with universities students. In conclusion you have to maintained clean to get jobs or associate any groups or company.
