I didn't go shopping to the little Tesco on Tuesday because of the rain. So, on Wednesday, I got everything I would have got on Tuesday from the big Tesco. So I got there, posted a letter, got rid of the soft recycle, and went up on the lift.
First I got some flowers, then I got the TV magazines that I would have got on Tuesday, and because I was round the other side of the magazine stand I saw a magazine special edition from Good Housekeeping about the Menopause, so I got that.
Then I went round and got a bounty bar for Syd, and 2 bottles of water for me. Syd wanted a 16 packet of Anadin extra, so I got that, but Mum didn't want any pads so I went straight to the fruit and veg section. There I got blueberries, spring onions, a red pepper and a grapefruit for me, and strawberries, lettuce, easy peelers and bananas for my Mum.
I then went and got 3 bottles of milk for my Mum seeing as I didn't go to the little Tesco on Tuesday, my vegan yoghurts and some corner yoghurts for my Mum and Syd for their puddings on Sunday.
Then it was off to the vegan and ready meals isle. I got 2 beef dinners for my Mum and Syd and 2 shepherd's pies. I got myself my vegan pizza and 4 packets of meat free bites. Then I went to the edge of the isle and got my Mum some chicken and bacon sandwich spread for her to use on her baked potatoes.
I got myself some olive oil, but I couldn't get any extra virgin so I had to get the ordinary, and I wanted some sesame oil but at first I didn't think they had any. Then I stepped back to see if there was any at the back of the shelf, and sure enough, there was. It was right at the back on the top shelf, and of course I couldn't reach it. There was an empty box infront, so I removed that and put it on an empty box on a lower shelf. Then I got my walking stick and started to manoeuvre it in to attempt to pull the bottle forward, but before I got it near the bottle, someone said, Do you need some help, love? So I said, Oh, yes, please. So I removed my walking stick and they reached it down for me, and I said, Thank you very much.
Then I went straight to the cake section. My Mum wanted jam doughnuts, there were 5 in a bag from the freshly baked section, and they are a kind of oval shape, bit round exactly, and they don't have a hole in them. So I got those. Then my Mum wanted some Bramley Apple pies and some Viennese Whirls, so I got those, both Mr Kipling.
Then it was off to the crisp isle, and I got a 6 pack of crisps and another tube of cheese and onion pringles. Then I went round to the teas and coffees isle and got myself some of the vegan galaxy hot chocolate.
My Mum wanted some Alpen, so I went and got that (the no added sugar version), then I went round to the confectionery and seasonal isle to get Syd some fudge.
Then it was off to the frozen section. I looked for some vegan magnum ice lollies, but still couldn't find any. I got Syd a box of 4 mini boxes of microwave chips, some Tesco crinkle cut chips for my Mum, some chicken pies and some mini pizzas. I also got some prawns for me.
Then I went and got some toilet paper for me, some washing up liquid, and some domestos and swing bin liners for Syd.
And then I went to pay. But it was still only 3:30pm, and Syd wasn't coming to fetch me till 4:30pm, so I let 3 different people go infront of me to use up some time!
Eventually, I put my own shopping on the conveyor, and packed it away, and payed. It came to around £150 I think. Then I went to sit on a bench. I still had about half an hour before Syd was due to come and fetch me, so I read some of the menopause magazine. Apparently there are over 40 symptoms you can have on the menopause. Brittle finger nails are another one of them. Well, that explains that!
Eventually, at around 4:25pm, I went back down on the lift and waited for Syd on a bench in the undercover car park. He came around 4:35pm.
When I got home I gave Mum her change, club card and shopping list, then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched some telly.
Later I went out to Tuneless Choir, but I will tell you about that later.
What have you lot been getting up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

That was a big shopping trip. The garage door and opener were installed yesterday. Today I will work on setting up my new camera.

With all that shopping, your trolley must be packed to the top!

Hiya
Do you ever do the online order and get Tesco to deliver?
I do our big shop like that.
Having said that, we went to Lidl this afternoon and spent £40, despite spending double that online with Tesco
