I am Not Ok but It's All Going to be Alright

So I am not alright. I have come to that fact last night. I have so figured out that I'll keep it to myself. Not that it doesn't matter...I think it's just that there's so much going on in general.
Dad came home yesterday and he's doing well. He just doesn't have much strength in his legs right now. I feel like we go through this after every hospital visit. He was told to keep his legs up prior to the heart surgery and then of course you're in a hospital bed for two days so yeah we have to get used to using the legs again. Not to mention without starting the lymphodema treatments again just yet, both legs are so swollen so it's hard to walk.
He took a fall last night and while mom flipped out I had to be the voice of reason. He was fine, I had no reason to worry, his legs just gave out. I was the one that was saying it was ok. I was the one that had to remind him baby steps. Get him on the hassock first then the transport chair. Little movements at a time and at his speed.
Sleep eluded me very well after that.
Today I had to get two friends sales together. Kristie bought detergent from me and Jerry bought a book. I had to clear out part of my hatchback because of course I still have the shop inventory in there. Thankfully my hubby helped get everything down and then Jerry helped me get everything in EMS.
I also have to get brownies for the Station's Open House tomorrow. We also still have to go up today to clean the engine, clean the bay out and do check off's.
Tomorrow is the actual open house and I'm nervous if anyone will actually show up. I hope so because I don't want it to be pointless.
Then Sunday is the monthly department meeting and after that I leave for the fire academy for a week.
Right now all I really want to do is break down but I can't. There is just no possible way.
I'm still worried about keeping my shop up and running.
I finished Wild Love last night and was quite happy with it. Compared to what I've been reading it was tame. I need to get on and update the reading list.
If I did that today would you want me to list it from book one or start where I left off?
I was also thinking of making posts of each book as well. Not sure about it yet. I tend to forget sometimes.
What is everyone else doing today?

I'm glad your dad didn't get hurt. It must be a lot of stress on your mom.
I hope the open house goes well for you.
I know what you're dealing with. I've been through the wringer when my husband was in and out of the hospital and rehab for a year. Just take one thing at a time. I am saying a prayer for you. Try and take some "me" time every day. It's good that you're doing some reading. It can take your mind off some of the stress.
Yesterday they installed the new garage door and opener. I received my memory cards; so I will set up my new camera today.
Take care.

@JordanLader My point and shoot camera was OK; but it was a pain to take out the memory card. You had to take out the batteries first; and then it was very hard to get the cover closed again. I won't have that problem with the new camera. The only thing is it has a zillion different options. It will take a while for me to get used to it.

Just now
@LindaOHio I can understand that. I'll stick to my phone until I can't just because I'm used to it

That sounds good. I should put memory cards in our cameras but I haven't. We're still talking about changing cameras.

I feel so bad for you and it certainly sounds like you are dealing with a lot. I love that song in your title and I play it often myself. Some days are so overwhelming it's a gentle reminder that everything will be alright.
Sorry to hear that your dad had a fall but glad he didn't get hurt. It must be a lot for him (and your mom & you) to help him transition back to being able to walk.
I hope your open house goes well on Sunday
I'm always interested in the books you read and talk about
Sending you hugs

Thank you. It is a lot right now and when we had these things planned dad's surgery was planned for the week prior. Now everything is piled up on top of everything....if that even makes sense.
Dad is a very independent and proud man and mom is well, she's a nut. Neither one gives the other any slack for the big transition this is. They were fighting a lot yesterday and of course I'm the referee because I came home early to help.
If you like that one, you should listen to I'm Not Ok by Citizen Soldier. It hits a little harder.

@JordanLader I'll have to listen to the one by Citizen Soldier. I'm a big fan of Jellyroll as most of his songs hit home to me.
Hope things get better at home and you aren't caught in the middle.

@Marilynda1225 I have a feeling I'll always be in the middle. It's just how it is.
My husband made me listen to Citizen Soldier and I can only handle some songs. They are very powerful and very emotional.

Omg you really do have an awful lot on your plate.
Most of us would probably not be OK with all that going on
I hope that your Dad gets a bit better soon.
That may lighten the load just a bit
