Pope Leo XIV is headlining a Chicago event on the same day as Trump's birthday parade

HILARIOUS! He has been outspoken against Trump's policies. He is from Chicago and he supports the White Sox baseball team so that is the stadium where the event will be held. He will offer a video message to the young people of the world while a local cardinal will deliver a mass. There also will be prayers and music. Tickets to get in are $5 as is parking.
This of course will be on the same day of Trump's ostensibly military parade honoring the army but of course is a vanity waste of money for his birthday. Guarantee that the Pope's event will have more in-person and online viewers. Too bad Spicey won't be around to lie to the cameras and say it was the most-watched event ON EARTH!

Church and Politics should not mix.
He should keep his thoughts to himself and concentrate more on the problems within the Catholic church on a whole host of issues.
He gave his opinion on something political here and I was heartened that Politicians from all sides said he should keep his thoughts about how countries are governed to himself

Oh I know but he was definitely trying to influence political commentators re Trumps policies on immigration because he did the same thing here.
And he needs to stay well away from the Russian Special Operation in Ukraine.
I know he is a well meaning man on a mission to enhance the reputation of the Catholic church but he would be walking into a minefield
