Rain has stopped

June 1, 2025 1:20pm CST
Yay for us The rain has stopped and it is time to go home. We will still get soaked despite the rain stopping The spray from other vehicles on the road is actually worse than rain itself. My bike will get really dirty and that means a job either later tonight or tomorrow. Rain please stay off until we get home Don't fancy having to dry out all our bike gear.

Here we have not had even a single drop of rain for last four or five days. Don't you have another way to your home. I mean, a road oon which there is almost no traffic??

@Shivram59 There is a 15 mile stretch of road, dual carriage way which is really great but the wind makes it dangerous and then 18 mikes of winding country roads, with lots of hidden dangers. Dangers everywhere

Well there is a road which is long and windy and goes into the hills. But I don't like it. Many hidden dangers.

I hope the rain stayed away from you until you reached your home. I really hope you reached dry and didn't fancy drying out all your bike gear. It is kind of a headache which I have gone through when I need to come back home and the rains catch me midway somewhere. Anyway, how had been your journey back home? If you managed to reach home without getting wet, I am sure you have enjoyed your trip.

@Ineeddentures Oh I can understand your love for bikes and biking. When it comes to such a topic, I feel like I am talking to someone close, who also relates to my interest. Because biking is one thing that I really love and I don't feel I will leave it anytime soon. It gives me better time when I am travelling and also I get to love nature and understand people while I am travelling. This may not be possible in closed bigger cars or public transport.

Sadly after the rain stopped, a few miles into our journey home it came on again and I did get wet Bike gear dried out ok. Except for my.leather gloves and boots. I have another pair of boots and more gloves so I will be ok for dry gear today. I enjoy riding motorcycles. Rain or sun, windy or calm. It's a thing which has endured for me for 48 years. Motorcycles make me smile

I don't think so. I say this because I sang Baa Baa Black Sheep and it didn't tell me if it had any wool

Do you bring an umbrella? Sometimes I just wear jacket and don't use umbrella so I can feel the rain, lol!

Safe if not dry Judy. But you know what it was really good fun. I think the fact I can still do this stuff with Yvonne is quite amazing.

I hadn't thought about the spray from other vehicles - but won't you be spraying them?

No I won't be spraying any vehicle with my tiny wheels on the little 125cc bike. Good rear mudguard and wee.thon tyres, no spray as such But see like a big lorry or bus overtaking us We get soaked

Agreed If it had kept raining any longer I would have been really pissed off as I wanted home to eat. Hadn't eaten all day and ai was hungry.
