Ube Fiesta Event

My friend and her family are planning to attend to the Ube Festival in Stuttgart at the end of this month June. She invited me to go with them. Yay! I was so happy for that invitation. I wish to attend to that festival this year and it will come true.
The festival is all about Ube, purple yam products from boiled ube to Ube cakes, cupcakes, pancakes, ice cream, Halo-Halo and all about Filipino purple yam desserts. There will be a dance and singing program, tombola and stalls where Filipinos are selling Ube products. Is it not great?
This Ube Fiesta is organised by the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt. It is the biggest Ube Festival in Europe. I am excited thinking about the festival but on the side, I am praying that no sick person will ruin it, like what happened in Canada during the Filipino community event. A sick person crashed his car in the middle of the event where people enjoyed watching the event. I can’t remember how many died on that ‚accident‘. Have you heard about that in the news?

It does sound like fun.
Now I have only had Ube once in my life and I remember enjoying it.
A purple sweet yam I think.
People crashing cars into crowds of people is sadly becoming more commonplace.
I had not heard about the instance you mention but it's a terrible thing when people cannot go and enjoy an event without some sicko driving a car into them

Yes, a purple yam is sweet and delicious.
It seems like it’s a trend nowadays. Which is a horrible trend.
It was last month in Vancouver, if I am not mistaken. I will send the link when I find it.

Anyway, the photos made me crave Ube ice cream. I love Ube Ice cream.
Have you also tasted the Red Ribbon Ube Cake? I think it is much yummier than Goldilocks.

Wow that's great I like Ube ice-cream and Ube cake. Be careful during that festival. Don't stay at the center. I read about the news about one gathering of the Filipinos in Canada. That was a brutal attack.

i read only the title about that canadian incident and i can't believe it. no festival in the moment here. i think we will have it at the end of the june, midsummer's night things and cultural summer festivals. i adore purple things and yes, i hope you had a great time, with no incidents

We mostly hear about such terrible events. That is one very purple ice-cream! Enjoy the festival. It sounds a lot of fun.

I'm glad you will be able to attend the festival. Our County Fair will be held some time this summer. I think I remember about the car crashing and killing some people. Terrible.
