My friend and her family are planning to attend to the Ube Festival in Stuttgart at the end of this month June. She invited me to go with them. Yay! I was so happy for that invitation. I wish to attend to that festival this year and it will come true. The festival is all about Ube, purple yam products from boiled ube to Ube cakes, cupcakes, pancakes, ice cream, Halo-Halo and all about Filipino purple yam desserts. There will be a dance and singing program, tombola and stalls where Filipinos are selling Ube products. Is it not great? This Ube Fiesta is organised by the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt. It is the biggest Ube Festival in Europe. I am excited thinking about the festival but on the side, I am praying that no sick person will ruin it, like what happened in Canada during the Filipino community event. A sick person crashed his car in the middle of the event where people enjoyed watching the event. I can’t remember how many died on that ‚accident‘. Have you heard about that in the news?
