Got Some More Blatz

Let me just be clear here, there's nothing particularly fancy about Blatz beer. It's not premium. It's just beer. But I can't get it in Illinois, and I do like it, so whenever I am in Milwaukee or family or friends from Milwaukee are joining us, I get some.
I only asked for one case, but Larry and Robin brought two along. Even better.
Part of it, I suppose, is the nostalgia of it a bit. My grandfather always drank Blatz, and my uncle did too. For a long time back in the day it was sort of a Milwaukee thing along with Miller High Life and Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Even better, it turned out to be free. "How much do I owe you for the Blatz?" I asked Larry. "It's on us," he said and, "Happy Birthday."
So, for a little while anyway I am fully stocked on Blatz Beer, so all is good.

@porwest After all, birthdays are not so special when we get older. I´m now just a survivor.

@marguicha Surely they aren't as exciting as they were when we were kids.

@thislittlepennyearns No. I've never worked for a trucking company. Not sure where that may have come from. I sold parts to ready mix trucking companies and their batch plants. Maybe that's where it came from?
As for Schlitz, it's changed ownership several times through the years, but it's still made, and nowadays is marketed and distributed around the country.
