Chat Runs On Fairy Dust

A customer in Florida affected by Hurricane Ian contacted me asking for help recording a greeting for voicemail. We don't record those greetings for offices and require that they do the recording themselves as it's not a service we offer. I informed the customer of this, and she got all mad stating in all caps WE DON'T HAVE INTERNET!! I was sitting there dumb founded as she was speaking to me via chat. I was like um, clearly you have internet genius.

I found that people think they're talking "over the phone" when they use text. It makes me think you were talking with an older person in that conversation. But I've had odd conversations like that with younger people, too. *shrug*
