Some people believe that looks are everything. Others think that it is bias.. Based on the experiences of many people there is a distinct connection between looks and the economic state of an individual, that there will be many customers coming in the business center if the sales force are of good looks Firstly, economically speaking looks are an advantage to an employee based on their looks. Attractive men and women show more potential to get hired for a job and advance than unattractive men and women. In this sense, it is the negative side of looks that is biased in the economic state of the people. How could they land a job if the basis is personality and not skills? It sounds unfair.
In addition, it hurts those who lack a good look. What would happen to the company if hired only people with a pleasing personality and not the skills and experiences? It is biased. . Further, in today's world, the look is no longer the basis for accepting applicants but skills, good attitudes, experiences, and educational qualifications.
What can you add?

Important companies pretend that you are clean and dress "correctly" and I think that this is important if you have to deal with public. I surely would not like to go inside a bank and to find an employee not clean, with a long beard and wearing inappropriate clothing.

I also come across one of the videos ... saying that one particular company consider these criteria seriously..
So that means the physical facial appearance also matters so as height I believe..
but I hope they have no problem in hiring in manufacturing units regardless of any kind of physical appearances

@psanasangma, that is true there are companies that matter an applicants ' height like in the police department. In manufacturing companies height is not an issue.

it shouldn't matter but i think it's an individual thing for every employer. if i something hate is that employers judge us from that first moment; not fair. they should be judged too. if i'm doing job well, leave my clothes choice alone but no, secretaries always have to wear heels and similar stereotypes which are tiring.

I think it matters. Some people just behave the way they look especially when they look menacingly. One needs to confirm if they mean how they look , though.
