A neighbour is having a huge clear out and this afternoon he gave Rod two large tins. Inside we found loads of old coins .... from 1900 onwards. I have the job this week of sorting throgh the tins and to try and find out if any of these coins are valuable.
I am sure there is a name for those who collect coins but I am not sure what it is.
I also need to find someone who may be interested in buying the coins.

I'd do a bit of research into what is valuable. Some coins that have slight defects are worth quite a bit of money.

I know what we called someone who picked 1p coins up off of the ground.
Aberdonian
If 1/2 p coins were still on the go they would pick them up too.
Bent over like they have osteoporosis, nose almost on the ground, celebrating every find.
