Eli's First Play Date

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Today Eli had his first play date with his "girlfriend". I say it like that because he is young for dating. They met up at the park and played on the slides, played tag, etc... They also got lunch from the lunch in the park event that is going on this summer. It just started today, so they picked the perfect day. I think they had a good time, even though Eli is still too shy to speak. She talked a lot and he would respond with head shakes (yes/no). I hope that the more time they spend together he'll start talking. He talks to us at home non stop. Guess we will see what happens as time goes on. Glad they have each other though, and they'll have a good friend going into the new school in the fall. Image as an art piece I did of them together from a photo I took at their 5th grade graduation. Thought sharing an art piece of them was better than sharing an actual photo, but you can still get the idea of the two of them together lol. What do you think of it? The smiley things on their heads are because they were wearing "graduation hats" with smiley faces at the time.
