Well, it is usually my job to make the soup but due to only being able to use one arm at the moment I got the job of supervising.
Today it was carrot and coriander, which is my Moms favourite. The Mister went to the farm shop at the weekend and got the carrots. We already had the leeks.
We do have a soup maker which saves time and it so quick and easy to use. It does make delicious soup every time too. It just takes around 30 minutes from start to finish. Whilst that was cooking we popped a part baked baguette into the ninja, so we could have crusty bread with our soup too.
do you make soup
what is your favourite soup

What is a soup maker? I have different size pots I can make soups and stews in... We also have a slow cooker that Pretty loves using to make soups and stews in, too. The slow cooker takes all day or all night to make a delicious soup or stew without anyone paying attention to it after you load the ingredients and plug it in...
Pretty forgets she's cooking something if she uses a pot on the stove to cook in... She's burned up a couple of pricey pans when she boiled them dry.
I finally bought some cheap pans and told her to use them if she's going to leave the kitchen when she's cooking. She'll go back to her bedroom and start playing a computer game and hours go by before she'll check on whatever it is again. *sigh*
I used to make big pots full of chicken noodle soup. It's still my favorite but I usually buy cans of soup now instead of making it from scratch. I've gotten lazier as I've gotten older. *shrug*

A soup maker is a machine that you put all your ingredients ....veggies, meat etc .....and stock into. Switch it on and it does the rest. It cooks it and blends to either chunky or smooth, however you like your soup. When it's finished it turns itself off. I think that it is useful that it can blend as well as cook and also switches itself off....I would tend to leave the pan and go off and do something else ,so now I don't have to worry about that.

@Traceyjayne Oh, how cool is that?
Pretty always asks me to cut up meat and veggies and she'll put them in the slow cooker and turn it on. She can't cut onions because they make her cry. I don't have that problem with onions. *shrug* Once in a while I'll stir the contents of the slow cooker while it's on if I'm in the kitchen anyway. (I'm in there several times a day, washing dirty dishes, cleaning counters or getting something ready to cook.)
