Well, that went well.

George and I are back from the store. I had no idea he planned on going to Aldi, but that's where we wound up going. He managed to help me find hot dogs and I got the laundry detergent that I typically need. Won't need it for several months now. Our washer takes one third of what I'd put in older washers. So, I save money there.
Everything we bought cost twenty dollars. Not bad for a gallon of milk, three packs of hotdogs, and two bottles of detergent.

Same can be said for literally anywhere a person shops. You just need to know how to do it.

@porwest Yeah, exactly. I could either go back to harsher name-brand detergent, just for convenience, or I could save the money and buy something better for half the price.

@kaylachan Precisely. You HAVE to know your prices, and know them very well, and you need to have a very good plan to keep up your pantry and restock where it's cheapest.

@kaylachan Hot dog content has changed recently. Ball Park and Bar S are two companies that changed. My husband didn't care for the hot dogs I picked up at Aldi's but they were fine to me. He's very picky.

@kareng We needed hotdogs, and George thought we bought all beef hotdogs. Oh well, he ate almost entire eight pack yesterday.

He's driving against medical advice, but since the hospital nor the doctor filed paperwork to have his licience suspended, he's doing it. We're thankful. He found his ht dogs, too.

@kaylachan glad to hear that George can continue to drive I think that is good for him to be as normal as he can at any one time,
