Some People Will Never Be Happy

My mother-in-law (82 years old) is saying things like "I want to be the "happy" me" again" and "I just need some happiness in my life." The truth is, she's never been happy. I was reading an article about the habits of people who will never truly be happy in life and she fits the bill. They are: 1. Comparing yourself to others Remember that expression "keeping up with the Joneses"" She can't stand it when somebody else gets something new. She has to have it too. She doesn't celebrate other people's victories, she's jealous of them. 2. Blaming everybody else for your problems She has an excuse for everything. It's the pharmacy's fault she ran out of pills. It's always somebody's fault. She never takes ownership or responsibility for her own poor decisions and actions. 3. Not being grateful She doesn't "get" how immensely gracious people have been to her. She thinks she deserves it. 4. Holding grudges and refusing to forgive She's still talking about things her dead husband did 50 years ago. I choose to be happy. Sure, life isn't perfect, but I can still be happy. I just don't get why people want to be miserable their whole lives.

I am sure some people are only happy whey they are miserable and letting other people know!

How do you know so much about my mother in law? Well she choosed not to be happy that's her problem. I'm happy. And honestly after trying to please her so much I realized no matter what I do she'll never to happy so I stopped caring about pleasing her.

Did she told you what will make her happy? I also choose to be happy. Life is too short to spend it thinking of all the issues and imperfections of life.

I choose happiness too. Personally I think it takes too much energy to be negative all the time.
