Walkalator is where one just stands and it does the walking for you I had that experience at Singapore where going from one terminal to the other was too lenghthy and that helped. I have travelled a lot but never came across a walkalator the one we saw at the Changi Airport, Singapore. Have you used a walkalator? You can watch it here

Yes, several times in US airports and often walking fast on those walkalator helped us to catch just in time our connecting flight.

When you say you walked fast. Did you walk or just stood there?

@allknowing - We walked fast on it, so it doubled our speed.

Oh, walkalators are a total lifesaver in big airports! You just stand there, let it do the work, and pretend you’re on a moving sidewalk to nowhere. They’re almost everywhere now—most airports have them to help tired travelers, especially when the terminal feels like a marathon track! I remember using one and feeling like I was gliding through the airport like some kind of VIP.

@allknowing Yes even in our airports walkalators are already available. And I think all of those that I have been to have them too since airports are quiet enormous.

I saw a woman using one going the wrong direction! She kept walking, but was getting nowhere due to her walking the opposite way against it, not with it.

Never heard of walkalators in Malls. Are they so huge? Or are you talking of escalators.

@allknowing I am talking of walkalators the same that you mentioned. But those are typically use by people who have carts from the groceries going to the parking or near parking. we have a lot here as well. Escalators takes you up and down a floor. THough I saw one walkalator from one floor to another but its flat because carts goes through them instead of using elevators

I have used one a few times I just stood still lol Just the same as escalators in malls I just stand still Lazy perhaps but who cares lol

Whether it is a lift, an escalator or a walkalator one needs to just stand still - nothing to feel lazy about

Yes, I walked on one during a stopover at the Pudong International Airport in Shanghai, China. It helps a lot, especially if you are old and have a heavy backpack.

Yes, although I can't remember where. They do help you get around faster of course, because you can walk normally and arrive quicker. Never heard them called 'walkalators' though!

I have yet to walk on the walkalator in my life before even though I have been on escalators in malls.
