Desk Chair Shopping Was a Bust for the Most Part

We went to Office Max and perused their selection of chairs.
I wanted a high-back chair to rest my head. I didn't want leather or fake leather because of the cat's nails and because it cracks. I wanted fabric, possibly mesh.
Chair prices were OUTRAGEOUS! The very cheapest one we saw was $169 and didn't have a high back or any arms to it. I sat in one that was surprisingly very comfortable but didn't have a price on it. It was one of those mesh back ones for air flow and ergonomics. We had to flag down a sales associate to look up the price. It was $469. I couldn't have said "NO!" any quicker than I did.
We passed on all the chairs at Office Max/Office Depot and looked online at Sam's Club, Walmart, and Amazon. After much intense searching I found one on Amazon for $79 that looked like the one I sat in and liked at Office Max. It'll be delivered on Monday so I guess we'll find out then.
I had no idea that office furniture was so expensive now.

Everything has gone up crazily. I hope your chair is what you wanted.

Not just office furniture, but all furniture. I see couches ''on sale'' for several thousand dollars and it still amazes me--often, they aren't leather, either. I take care of what I have as good as I am able to do, and use my furniture as long as it lasts.
