I went to Tuneless Choir again on Wednesday, and it was my fifth week at Tuneless Choir. These are the songs that we were supposed to be singing, that were sent to us by email:- Wellerman by Nathan Evans Unstoppable by Sia Uptown Girl by Billy Joel Where do you go to my lovely by Peter Sarstedt You make my dreams come true by Daryl Hall and John Oats Sugar, Sugar by The Archies Take a chance on me by Abba Stuck in the middle with you by Stealers Wheel Raindrops keep falling on my head by B J Thomas Sloop John B by The Beach Boys The Rhythm of life by Sammy Davis Jr Loco-motion by Little Eva You're my best friend by Queen That's what we were supposed to sing, but Sarah spent a bit of time telling everyone that the Tuneless Choir had been mentioned in one of Wynne Evans Facebook lives. I'd written a comment which read "I'm going to suggest the tunes we sang at Tuneless Choir for your radio playlist" or words to that effect. He read out my comment and said, "You can do that if you like, Sharon. I'm not promising I'll play them!" And so I told Sarah about it on Facebook and she told everyone at Tuneless Choir the following Wednesday! In the end we sang a rock medley that wasn't even on the list, and because we were running out of time we dropped Unstoppable by Sia because we'd sung it the previous week anyway, and Stuck in the middle with you by Stealers Wheel and Rhythm of life by Sammy Davis Jr At half time Sarah said she hadn't arranged a quiz because she said she wanted to discuss with us what we wanted to sing at the choirs third birthday party on the 25th June. But everyone booed when she said she hadn't organised a quiz, so she said, I can think one up on the spur of the moment if you like! Then she said she'd like us to think of an Artist or song featuring a colour. I went to the toilet, and when I came back I had my cup of green tea and a rockie chocolate biscuit thing. Then Sarah came round for the answers to the quiz, and I said, My love is like a red, red rose (which is one of the songs Wynne Evans sings). After the second half, I went to the front to give my cup and name badge in and then I went to talk to Sarah about a few things. I said I needed one of the lyric books, I asked what time the Christ Church summer fete finished in case Dawn, who was taking me, wanted to go away and then come and fetch me back afterwards, and I told her I'd sent off for a Tuneless Choir T-shirt but I didn't know when it would arrive. She said it wouldn't arrive before Saturday. She said it'd be alright to wear what I was wearing because it's still blue with a bit of white on it, even though it's a light blue and not navy! Then I walked home, and when I got home my Mum was still out at the house group so I had a bit of peace and quiet for a bit. I put out my painting equipment ready for the following day. The following day I suggested the playlist from Tuneless Choir to Wynne again via the link in one of his emails. After I'd written them all down I put "You thought we were going to be singing hymns, didn't you?" Then on Friday he did a really long Facebook live which lasted 1 hour! I commented and said "I'm singing with the Tuneless Choir tomorrow at Christ Church summer fete in Lichfield" and he read it out and said, "Good luck with that." What are you getting up to this weekend? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.

my Luve’s like a red, red rose, That’s newly sprung in June; O my Luve’s like the melodie That’s sweetly play’d in tune. As fair are thou, my bonie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my Dear, Till a’ the seas gang dry. Till a’ the seas gang dry, my Dear, And the rocks melt wi’ the sun: I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o’ life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only Luve! And fare thee weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho’ it were ten thousand mile! Rabbie Burns did well when he wrote that. Id actually quite like to see how Wynne songs it compared to Scottish singers

@sharonelton I do like the version of Sloop John B offered by Me First and the Gimme Gimmies. Is the sound your choir makes really as callithumpian as its title suggests?

I'm glad you're enjoying the choir. Not much going on here this weekend. I'm pretty lonely.
