How Long Has It Been?

This year I really wanted a garden as since the flood (2 years ago) I haven't had a garden. We thought the rototiller we had worked, but it didn't. So, I thought I'll get all the big barrels the mother-in-law had and would use for my gardening. For the tomatoes and peppers, I put some garden fabric down, cut holes in it to plant my plants and was done. But I wanted to plant some cucumbers, squashes, watermelon and cantaloup. Usually I make hills of dirt and plant the seeds in the hill, but I decided I wanted to use the barrels to grow those in. I had some barrels already but not enough. When the flood came through, it carried some more of the mother-in-law's barrels on our neighbors vacant lot. So, we got permission to go on their land and was going to get them. Well, there was one that was just on the other side of the barb wire fence, I thought I could just scoot it over, but it was just a little bit further than that. So, I got one leg over the fence and I'm like "I've got this" went to lift the other leg and I lost my balance!!! So, I fall down with my one leg hooked to the barb wire!!! I was screaming to my husband, but he was slow in getting to me. So, I'm trying to get my leg off the barb wire, but yet I couldn't stand or sit on the ground because, well, my leg was still hooked to the barb wire!!! The hubby finally got to me and helped me get unhooked from the barb wire!!! My husband asks when the last time I had a tetanus shot? I told him I couldn't remember!! He said I should really get one because I could get "lock jaw" and that could be terrible. So,of course my mind goes into "what if " mode and I think that if I don't get a shot and I get "Lock jaw?" So, the next day we went to Walmart and I got a tetanus shot and so did my husband as it had been over 10 years since he had one. So, when was the last time you had a tetanus shot? ~Peace~

@2ndchances24 This was a rooster that has spurs. Hens do not have them.

Sorry @kareng that a rooster attacked you!!! We had a rooster once, that a stray dog attacked it and broke a wing. He became a pet and would even come in our trailer huse if the door was left open!!!

Now that you mention it, I can't remember but it might have been when I got my first damn covid shot, or when I got the shingles shot... one in each arm.

@STOUTjodee Yes, it's called shingrix "In clinical trials, SHINGRIX was shown to be more than 90% effective at preventing shingles for people 50 years of age and older."

There is a shot for shingles @BarBaraPrz? My 90 year mom has shingles and puts cream on it.

Oh, boy! You really paid a price for trying to get good results! I think mine had to be 8 to 10 years ago.

Darned barb wire. So frustrating. I guess we need to get a tetanus shot every ten years. I need to get one too. It's weird all the things we have to be so careful of as we get old.
