Dal Lake, Kashmir

That was one of our first package holidays that we looked foward to and more because we were going to experience cold weather It was a package tour and we met others in the group and made friends with a few and that friendship continued. We were put up in a hotel facing the Dal Lake We both would first go to the kitichen with our mugs to enjoy our tea (which was not in the itinerary)and then go for a walk along the Dal Lake. That walk early in the morning was so satisfying You can view the image here

That's the best picture of a day moon that I have ever seen. If the boats were different that could be a Scottish Loch

This place is beautiful, I imagine it's pretty cold.

The cold there is in stages. For us it was cold as where we live we do not have winter as such.

At the time we visited there was no such thing as what we experience today It is also called the Switzerland of India
