That was one of our first package holidays that we looked foward to and more because we were going to experience cold weather
It was a package tour and we met others in the group and made friends with a few and that friendship continued.
We were put up in a hotel facing the Dal Lake We both would first go to the kitichen with our mugs to enjoy our tea (which was not in the itinerary
)and then go for a walk along the Dal Lake. That walk early in the morning was so satisfying

The cold there is in stages. For us it was cold as where we live we do not have winter as such.

While Kashmir is known as a paradise on Earth, safety concerns prevent me from wanting to visit.

At the time we visited there was no such thing as what we experience today
