So on Saturday the Tuneless Choir were at the Christ Church summer fete. Dawn from church took me, and I told her she could stick around if she wanted and she did. It was very good. We all huddled up together and sang some songs. Sarah gave us a song book with the words in, but we had to give it back afterwards and she'll give us a permanent one later.
We sang several songs. If we'd have been able to keep the lyric book it would have given me clues as to which songs we sang but these are the ones I can remember:-
Amarillo by Tony Christie
Mama Mia by Abba
Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond
Top of the world by The Carpenters
I'm gonna be (500 miles) by The Proclaimers
Daydream believer by The Monkees
Budapest by George Ezra
Flowers by Miley Cyrus
Something inside so strong by Labi Siffre
After we'd finished singing me and Dawn went in the hall. My feet were stiff from so much standing up! I went to the toilet, and then all the choir members got a complimentary drink. But because they didn't have any green tea I had orange juice instead. I also had a small piece of chocolate cake. After that I had another orange juice to wash it down with.
Then me and Dawn went to the toilet again, and then we went to look at some of the stalls. There were cakes stalls and clothes stalls and brick-a-brack stalls. There was even a girl of about 10 or 11 selling children's toys. On the brick-a-brack stall, I saw a small metal cat ornament that I took a fancy to. So I asked, "How much for the cat?" And the lady said 50p, so I thought, I'm having that, and I gave her £1 and she gave me 50p change! Dawn bought a planter and a couple of small dishes.
Next we went outside to look at some plants that were being sold. There were seeds aswell. There was also a book about flowers.
Then Dawn asked me if I'd like to go for a walk, and I said yes. We walked up this path that was flanked by trees and bushes, and then we walked back again. We were making our way to Dawns car when I said, "I think I've got a stone in my shoe." So I stopped and held on to Dawn while I took my shoe off to try and get the stone out of my shoe. But when I put my shoe back on and started walkimg I still felt like there was a stone in my shoe! So when I got to Dawn's car I sat sideways on the front passenger seat and took my shoe off to get rid of this stone. I put my hand in to feel for the stone and I felt this sharp thing. Then Dawn said, "It's not a stone! It's a drawing pin!" There was a drawing pin in the sole of my shoe! So I pulled it out. The point was bent over so it hadn't been sticking in me but it had still hurt under my foot! I gave Dawn the drawing pin and she said, "No wonder you thought you had a stone in your shoe!"
So Dawn took me home and she came in for a bit and talked to my Mum. She told her all about the day and how much she'd enjoyed it and I tried to remember which songs we'd sung. I showed Mum my metal cat and told her the drawing pin in the shoe story!
What did you do over the weekend?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day/ evening/ night wherever you are in MyLot land.

You sing some great songs. I might need to join a Tuneless Choir here if I can find one. You and Dawn had an enjoyable time at the fete.

Some of those songs are favorites. The weekend flew by while I was writing online and now tomorrow is already Wednesday where does the time go?
