Ice is melting

What else can the reason be that there is rain everywhere. We do not have ice where I live and yet that heavy downpour is visiting us these days almost throughout day and night. Where is it coming from - in gushes non stop. I do read news about snow melt where there is snow attributing it to global warming If that is the case it is not good news. There is enough snow in the world to flood the whole world. Here is some information on that coming from NASA

Yes indeed. The snow at both Polar Ice caps melting contributes to global warming and sea rising and flooding

Two weeks ago a part of a glacier melted in Switzerland. The top of the mountain and the ice went down on a village. There is nothing left there, at least the population had been evacuated.
