It is fine engagine labour and get the work done but getting done is more tiring. Not all are diligent and need to be supervised. This gardener is a good worker but I notice he wastes a lot of time. He goes for lunch and gets back half an hour late. Getting into a conversation on this is not something I enjoy but I had to He will work late he told me I only wish this did not happen. I hate when such a situation arises.

You are right to mention it to him Coming back late from lunch is not professional. At least he said that he would work late to make up for the half hour extra he had at lunch time

The reason why I refused to pay our gardener "per hour", but per work done was because he spent too much time answering his phone. If he needed two more hours it was his problem.
