When It Comes to Hanging Pictures

This was an interesting tidbit on Bing this morning. There was a poll asking whether you used a level to hang pictures on the wall or just eye-balled it. The results were about 50/50.
I've always just eyeballed it. I've been hanging pictures since my teens. Never had a problem getting them centered or straight. Accidentally hit a place where there wasn't a stud once, but only once in 60 years.
My former hubby (now deceased) was very professional about it. Using a measuring tape and a pencil he'd measure and mark where he wanted the nail to go then he'd used a level to make sure it was level.
Current hubby just eyeballs it.
What is your strategy when it comes to picture-hanging?

Hubby never did rehang the pictures when they painted the living room. I think he was a measurer.

My dad does all the picture hanging. I might drop it lol, I cannot trust myself with that.
