When It Comes to Hanging Pictures

This was an interesting tidbit on Bing this morning. There was a poll asking whether you used a level to hang pictures on the wall or just eye-balled it. The results were about 50/50. I've always just eyeballed it. I've been hanging pictures since my teens. Never had a problem getting them centered or straight. Accidentally hit a place where there wasn't a stud once, but only once in 60 years. My former hubby (now deceased) was very professional about it. Using a measuring tape and a pencil he'd measure and mark where he wanted the nail to go then he'd used a level to make sure it was level. Current hubby just eyeballs it. What is your strategy when it comes to picture-hanging?

You're absolutely right by seeing the hanging pictures it's should get an eyebrow raised. I would do the same thing as your ex-husband did. I would level it up and nailed it in exact place to look good.

Hubby never did rehang the pictures when they painted the living room. I think he was a measurer.

It depends on the picture and how it is hung. Yet, most of the time I measure and use a level to get things where I want them.
