When I got back home from lunch I found Oliver sitting in my new office chair.
When I had left for lunch he had just jumped up in the old office chair, which he's never done before.
He just jumped down to get a drink of water, so I've reclaimed my office chair and my office and I'm back online doing things like here on myLot, etc.
Does your pet take over your space?
Photo of Oliver taken by me.

My animals have taken over anywhere I want to sit. My office is overrun by medical supplies.

@looeyville Yes, my wife is always doing that sort of thing. She doesn’t purr much though.

Understand something (and I know you know this, but this is for the benefit of people who don’t have pets): when a pet owns you, it’s not “taking over your chair,” it’s “claiming what’s rightfully his”!

@LooeyVille — HIS new office chair. He might let you use it.

I don't own one but I am sure it would take up my space

Does Oliver miss you when you go on holiday on a cruise.
Our cats used to take over our sofa and our bed.
And they sure didn't like moving when politely asked to do so

My cat seems to know as soon as my bottom hits the couch, as she is up on it before I can completely sit down. She also knows when I step into the greenhouse that is off of one of our bedrooms that she jumps through the window to get through and she meets me out there.

Oliver thought it looked cozy and cat sized. Not too often really...Nico prefers to sit on the floor most of the time, or his cat perch, and sometimes on me.

Our cats used to take over our space. So did some of the dogs where we house-sat.
