Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 7.56 AM here. It's a morning where clouds and sun choose to play hide and seek, and let's see who wins and how the day turns out later. Well, I am happy that the last two days were bright sunny and pleasant.
It's 11th International Yoga Day. Yoga enthusiasts around the world are happy to have one day recognized to honour Yoga. And I am one Yoga enthusiasts. Yoga is an inseparable part of my life and it won't be an exaggeration if I say that in my overall health and well being, Yoga has played a significant role. Despite all the health issues that I got at young age because of my genetics, Yoga has helped me manage it well without being over dependent on medicines. And most important of all, my emotional health is really good because of it
Yoga comes from our ancient roots, deep rooted in the Hindu mythology. Lord Shiva is called Adiyogi ( most ancient or poineer Yoga practitioner).
I have been very regular to Yoga and meditation in the last two decades. But since my surgery last month, I have not practised it except for the breathing exercise, anulom vilom( it's easy and can be done in any sickness).
Today, I went with my husband to the Yoga session downstairs in my apartment. We have community Yoga classes in three batches from early morning in our club house and it's free. There are paid classes in the evening where they make it tailor made for each person. I am regular to the morning batches, I would join any one of them depending on my schedule and go there at least four times in a week.
Today, it was grand and so in open space around the swimming pool to accommodate more people. People participated in good number. I just had to go down by lift and walk few steps to be there. My husband brought one chair for me, few elderly were there on chair. I sat on my chair and joined them. I did all that I could. The vibes were good and I was happy to be out of home after almost a month. Many came over to talk later and ask about my health. So, a bit of chit chat and socializing too to make me happy
What better than resuming my Yoga on international Yoga Day. I am going to do it at home daily till I recover fully to do all the tough asanas ( Yoga poses) on my mat. Happy for this session and getting back to my Yoga slowly.
Hope all is well in your myLot corner.

Yes, and I enjoyed. We get some inertia seeping in once we leave something for a while. Happy to start back in small steps.

I am attracted by pilates. I would like to do it and include that too in my fitness routine. But I couldn't find an instructor or group to start in my close neighborhood.
Yes, Yoga is very good for a holistic health. Helps a lot with mental and emotional health too.

It's 6 weeks now. Total hysterectomy takes 6_8 weeks for recovery. I am doing good. And with complicated and invasive one like mine, this can take upto 8 weeks. Some limitations are there, for few months. I am active around the home now and even started my therapy sessions at home. Will start going to school from July.

Thank you. I am also hoping for that. At least I have continued it in the last three days, doing the bit that I can do for now. That's a good promising start.

Yes, I am recovering well on expected lines. 6_8 weeks is what they say for recovery and few more weeks for going slow and safe. 6 weeks are over and I am doing good.
