Toad Hunting (not actual hunting haha)

5 red-spotted toads found and released
Phoenix, Arizona

We had a successful Toad "hunting" night here. We caught (and released) 5 toads tonight. This is just a fun activity my kids and I started doing after we moved. We watch them hop around in the shower and then put them back outside.

Do you mean shower as in rain shower of shower in the bathroom? I won't be happy having a toad in my bathroom shower.

haha! But what if you lost sight of them after you put them in the bathtub? They might wander off elsewhere

Never did any toad hunting, but used to catch lizards when I was a kid. I could see how this could be a good time.

So where is it they hop around if you then put them back outside. They must be indoors

We go out when it's dusk. Collect as many as we can find and put them in the shower for easy viewing for the kids. We catch them right outside our apartment door. When the kids are done watching them for a bit, we let hem back out. We let them hop around in a container on the patio or in the shower.

@Ineeddentures I mean there is no where for them to get stuck. I think its safe but I'm not an expert. Lol
