Are these old coins worth a pretty penny .....

So, our neighbour is throwing out a lot of stuff at the moment and last week he gave The Mister two cash boxes that he thought was filled with coins. The boxes were locked and he didn't have the key , so The Mister said that he had a gadget that would open them.
We managed to get the boxes open and have been checking the coins ....there are lots of different ones and it is taking quite a time.
So of them are only worth a few pence but some have been around £15 ....I have lots more to check this week.
This time next year we will be millionaires .....!
p.s. the coins are being returned to the neighbour, we are just helping him.

@Ineeddentures There was one with Victoria on ...he found that in a drawer so we haven't got that one.
Yes you do see old pennies often so they are not very valuable.
I can't remember how much it said the florin was worth, but it must be quite common as it wasn't very much.

So a florin is very common
And old pennies are every where.
What you need are old pennies with Queen Victoria or who ever was monarch before her.
What dates of pennies have you found?

Finding valuable old coins in the boxes must be exciting! I love going through old coins and seeing what I can find.

hopefully we can find a few coins that will make some money ....it is a slow task to complete but an interesting one at the same time.

check out a coin identification app if you can and then you can find out if they are worth anything ....you might be surprised.

Wow, that sounds like a fun little treasure hunt! It must be exciting not knowing what kind of coins you’ll find next. Imagine finding one that turns out to be super rare and valuable!
