We took the kids (and he child's girlfriend) to the lake for a couple hours this afternoon. They got rained on, but they stayed and enjoyed it. There were a lot of people there, which is to be expected. It has been getting hot as hades here and people want free ways to cool off and drink at the same time. Here in Florida that means lake time. When we got back, I did a couple random things before starting dinner. We just got finished eating. I didn't do anything fancy tonight. We had cheeseburger mac, and garlic toast. Yes I used hamburger helper. Do I care if you don't like that? No not really. Everyone ate, no one complained- a couple people even had seconds. I do know how to make it homemade, but I didn't have the time nor the energy to do so tonight. So that's what was for dinner here. What did you have at your house?

I do eat lots of "processed" foods, so 99% of the time, I never complain. But the last time I used any Hamburger Helper product, I felt like I could have just eaten a salt lick, so I always make it from scratch. That's NOT to say I am knocking it. As for beating the heat, we spent some time in the pool on both Saturday and Sunday and it was quite refreshing even if you stepped out and flash dried. lol For dinner I made burgers on the grill, and we had them with Swiss, onions and tomatoes along with ketchup and mustard on regular, toasted bread since we didn't have any buns in the house to use. For a side I whipped up a batch of a tuna noodle salad. All good eats!

I add Lawry's seasoning salt to it. I add it to everything. LOL. It rained today twice, about ten minutes each so its humid as well. You know how the south does after rain. It feels like a sauna. I made homemade pizza tonight. I will share apost later. I just got home. We left at 11 this morning, went on a hike when we got home and then I went straight to making dinner. So. .lol

@thislittlepennyearns You add salt to something already loaded with salt? Yikes. lol. Luckily we have been dry the past few days. It's been in the 90s with "feels like" temps in the 100s, and yep...if it rained it'd be exactly like you said. A sauna.
