Mongoose

We have these mongoose roaming around in our garden. They are an asset around as they keep reptiles away At the same time they can be a nuisance as they dig into the roots of plants. They also get into the house to rob food. They do this when we have put off the lights. Peppie is not scared of them and I see them in the garden together

Mongooses are cute, but they like to investigate car engines and often they chew the wires.

They dug up all the sweet potatoes that they found in the groun. We stopped growing anyting that they dig in the ground but in pots. You are right. In a way they are quite destructive

@allknowing - They chewed the wires of the car we used to keep outside under the car port.

Wow Mongooses. I would love to see them in the flesh. Mongooses are really clever and adaptable coz Sor David Edinburgh said so. You let them in your house, are you not scared that they soil and wet all over the place? Do they not bite? Peppie is quite brave not to be scared of them.

I have clearly said in my post they visit when the light are off No, so far they have not dirtied the place When it comes to Peppie probably it is the other way around

@allknowing Dontou not lock doors and windows at night? I'm surprised they haven't done a poo or pee pee People would t do that he is a good boy
