Man Killed by Lightning while On Honeymoon in Florida

Can you even imagine how tragic this is? A 29 year old man from Colorado and his new bride were on their honeymoon in Florida. The man was standing in ankle-deep water in New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County, Florida when lightning struck him. He was taken to the emergency room where life-saving measures were performed, but he died from his injuries due to the lightning strike. I don't know if he didn't know the safety rule about getting out of the water when there's lightning in the area or just exactly how this happened, but now a woman has lost her brand-new husband. Very sad.

That's horrible. And his wife probably saw the whole thing.

That is awful. I suppose sometimes we forget that everyday things can be dangerous

That’s going to take a long time and a lot of therapy to get to a reasonable measure of happiness again.

That's tragic, and it happened in real life. How rare is it to be struck by lightning? May he rest in peace, and may his bereaved wife overcome her grief.

That's so sorrowful on the part of the wife, He lost the love of his life. It's dangerous to stand in a void space when there's lightning. May he rest in eternal peace I pity the wife.

Just someone at the wrong place at the wrong time. Yeesh. And on the honeymoon. Not that being killed any time is good. But there are times when it just feels more tragic...such as this.
