Today we are going to the uni again for my daughter's dental clearance. I never knew that this process can be this so meticulous. HICU, Dental, and Medical clearance are required for her to be able to enroll. HICU means hospital infection control unit, they make sure that a medical student is complete with vaccines especially the contagious diseases (chicken pox, hepatitis, diphtheria, pertussis, measles and more).

Wow! I don't remember it being this rigorous for Pretty to enroll in college here. I did have to get her medical records for the school so they could see that she'd had all her childhood shots but most of those were done when she was in grade school.
I'm sure your daughter will do fine.

@rakski That just seems excessive to me. I hope your daughter enjoys college.

Wow! Really? She had gone through all of those to be able to enroll?
In my university before, we were not required to have those, I think those in the medical courses were the ones who had to have medical clearance.

@rakski Oh, maybe they had updated their requirements. Well it's for the safety of students too...

Thank you for sharing this. It really does sound like a meticulous process, but it’s reassuring to know that they’re being thorough—especially in a field where health and safety matter so much. These steps, though time-consuming, are meant to protect not just your daughter but also the people she’ll eventually care for.
It may feel overwhelming now, but each requirement brings her closer to the path she’s chosen. Wishing you both strength and patience as you go through it all.

Better to be safe then sorry. Especially since she'll be working with/around people.
