Heliconium - a memory

Heliconium is one flowers that has flooded our garden. I had just one plant and now a whole row is seen. They last on the plant for months My sister had this plant and I pulled out one sucker and brought it home Strangely she no longer wants it in her garden as she says it overpowers her other plants in the garden I love this plant and I like the way they bloom adding an orange hue when other floewers do not bloom

That’s such a lovely story! Heliconia is actually a common plant here in the Philippines too. You’ll often see it growing along garden edges or even by the roadside. It really does stand out with its bright orange blooms—and you’re right, it lasts for months! I get why you love it.
