The story of black pepper

We have pepper vines that are trained on the areca nut and coconut trees.
Around December we see a few pepper pods turning red. They have to be harvested immediately else the birids will finish them
The harvested pepper is placed in gunny bags for a few days as they loosen from the spike. The separated pepper is then put in the sun for drying for about 8 days
Pepper is now ready for sale. We keep a little for our own consumption

300 grams of pepper should last you for a long time.
