Three things I am grateful for this week...

Hmmm? Do they even have to be "things"? I don't think so, and sometimes "three" just isn't enough. I am grateful for waking every day to see my cat and guide dog are in the (king-size) bed beside me. I am grateful to have enjoyed lunch with three wonderful friends—all of whom are old enough to have been my teenage moms. But together we’re all 19-year-olds again. I love winter, but precipitation every week since November was a bit much—so was last week's heatwave. Thank goodness today it is 64°F. I’m grateful that my son called the other day, too. Yet, I am also not in the greatest of moods. Still, there is always someone or something to be grateful for. What are you grateful for today?

I'm always grateful for a roof over my head, food on the table, money to pay bills and clothes on my back. I used to always add a husband that I love; but those days are gone.

I know, and I am so sorry to hear that, but who's to say you can't continue to include him? He may not be there to say or do things for you anymore, but there is always room to continue to be thankful for your marriage

I am so sorry, @LindaOHio. I know that is does, and I am sure he is listening to you, too. I truly believe they communicate and interact with us more than we know.

@Chellezhere We were together for 58 years, 54 married. I talk to him every day. It makes me cry; but I hope that he can hear me.

You have a lot to be grateful for. That is always good. I am grateful for greatgrandchildren in my life.

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren are wonderful beings to be thankful for. Someday... I'm almost 60, and still don't have my first grandchild, while some of my classmates' grandchildren are high schoolers. But someday—whenever he is ready... He doesn't like the world today, and he knows he could father twins, and fears having to do that.

I was able to help a friend out today so I'm grateful that I was able to do that.
