I was bored this afternoon so when my phone rang and I saw the caller was calling from somewhere in England I realised it was a scamming call so I decided to have some fun. I answered and the lady asked for me by name, as scammers do. I said, “Well it’s not convenient right now because I’ve just sat down on the toilet and I might be here for some time. Can I call you back when I’m done? I promise to wash my hands first.” Well the lady agreed, though I could hear the alarm in her voice. And of course she wasn’t a scammer, she was from the company from whom I recently bought a washing machine and she was calling to see how happy with it I was. I haven’t returned her call. Would you?
